The UA Basic Training is an online training that will provide the participants with the relevant theoretical knowledge on how to operate their unmanned aircraft (UA) safely in accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).

This course is suitable for the public with age at least 16 years old who wants attain a certificate to operate an unmanned aircraft between 1.5 kg to 7 kg for recreational and/or educational purposes.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course;

  • Participant will be able to comply with the Air Navigation Act 1966 and Air Navigation (101- Unmanned Aircraft Operations) Regulations 2019;
  • Understand the basic aeronautical and technical knowledge of UA including the functionality of various UA components and systems;
  • Understand the necessary safety procedures and human factors that affects safe UA operations;
  • CAAS recognised UABT e-certificate of completion

Theory Module

The UABT e-learning comprises of the following 3 modules below:

  • Module 1: Air Law & Legislations
  • Module 2: UAS General Knowledge
  • Module 3: UAS Safety & Operations

Assessment Module

Upon completion of the 3 modules, the participant will be required to take the online quiz comprising of 20 multiple questions to demonstrate the attainment of knowledge. All questions must be answered correctly, users will have unlimited attempts of the quiz.
